Who we are
Marly is a curated members' circle for people who live between cities, contactable at info@joinmarly.com. We are the data controller for the personal information you give us.
What we collect
When you apply we collect your first name, email, phone, the city you are based in, the cities you move between, what you do, the things you are into, how you are at a table, how you like to meet, when you are usually free, anything you write or record in your own words, an optional photo, optional Instagram or LinkedIn links, how you found us, and who invited you. If you suggest someone else, we store their name, email and your note.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use what you share to read and consider your application, to compose the right circle around a table, and to contact you about it. Our lawful basis is your consent (UK and EU GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), given by the checkbox on the application form. You can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. Your details are seen by the small team who read applications. We use trusted providers to run the service, including our hosting and storage provider, and, only if you accept cookies, Meta to measure our advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you are an active applicant or member, and delete it on request or after 24 months of inactivity.
Where it's stored
Your data is stored and processed in the EU and UK region. Photos and voice notes sit in private storage that is not publicly reachable. Where a provider processes data outside the EU or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, and withdraw consent at any time, by emailing info@joinmarly.com. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) in the UK, or your local supervisory authority in the EU.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and storage to run the site. Nothing else loads until you choose. With your consent we also load the Meta pixel to measure our ads. Decline and no measurement pixel is loaded at all. Clear your browser storage for this site to be asked again.
